i feel confused about this book. i did like ruby, but probably because she is so precocious, most of the time she felt like an older teenager and the way she talked with her friends using "old pal" and "old friend"? who is she? colombo?? fO.o No se Uds. The villains names are all cheesy and corny. Count von Viscount, Lorelei von Leyden, Babyface Marshall. I am definitely curious to other criminals, do they all have such cheesy names?

Just a gripping classic. Felt more cleverer because I understood all of the mathematical symbols in one of the qs for the Spectrum test (couldn't understand the question...but the symbols are a step closer!) now to read the rest before testing negative! Yeah, she already believes you’re a butler; you don’t need to make out you’re the best entire one to ever polish on this earthly universe of Twinford.” I liked the way the book had lots of bold text and diagrams. The bold text drew my interest to them and made the book seem more exciting and at times, witty. In this book there is a lot of math and code in this book so the diagrams helped me understand some of the most important parts of the mystery Ruby was solving, and didn't leave me feeling extremely confused.

Ruby Redfort

The characters are excellente. They are amazingly orchestrated and the banter between all the characters was hilarious. What was refreshing was the bond between Clancy & Ruby. No. Let me guess, Romance? Nope, it's not. It's pure friendship. No, the antagonists have my respects. They were likeable, a bit dramatic, but awesome! Another scene was when Ruby pointed out that Clancy, her best friend, used the word ‘sweethearts’ in an ‘old lady-type’ of way. I really don’t care, just let him say that. He’s still awesome! Just because he used ‘sweethearts’ in a different ‘uncool’ context, doesn’t mean you need to point it out! Child has also written 3 other books to the series, 'Take Your Last Breath' and 'Catch Your Death' and 'Feel The Fear,’ Available soon. Ahora bien cuando empecé a investigar sobre la saga descubrí que en español solo están publicados estos dos títulos pues la editorial que sería Molino o RBA dejó de publicarlo no sé si la editorial quebró o qué pasó. (Esta editorial me quedo mal anteriormente con la saga La chica Dragón de Licia Toisi la cual también dejó de publicar) Hitch was sitting at the kitchen table, polishing some silverware and looking for all the world like an actual butler.

Her book I Will Not Ever Never Eat A Tomato won the 2000 Kate Greenaway Medal. For the 50th anniversary of the Medal (1955–2005), a panel named it one of the top ten winning works, which comprised the shortlist for a public vote for the nation's favourite. It finished third in the public vote from that shortlist.

I've been a massive fan of Charlie and Lola and Clarice Bean ever since I was really little. My parents would read me the picture books, and then when the first CB novel came out they read it to me as well. When I read it on my own it was the first chapter book I had ever read with no help at all, and I was immensely proud of myself. I bought the second book and waited avidly for the third and last. My best friend's mother used to work in publishing and she happened to be at Lauren Child's book signing, and bought me a signed edition of Don't Look Now. I've been waiting for Ruby Redfort books to come out for ages, and I'm so glad I got it for Christmas. I got slightly irritated by that. I don’t know whether it is meant to make me laugh. I mean, come one, Ruby! Who cares what he’s doing? Did you really have to make a conversation out of that? There are now six books in the series. Book 1 in the Ruby Redfort series is Look Into My Eyes and you’ll need to start there to find out about her beginnings as an agent and read through to the thrilling conclusion in Blink and You Die when we say goodbye to Ruby. Despite all this bad, I still enjoyed it. Clancy and his extreme fear of the ocean was the likely to be the most hilarious in the book. Miss Digby and Hitch are still the same, with their witty remarks and the Count remains evil.

anyway, i can imagine that this book could be very appealing to my twelve-year-old self, so probably any twelve to thirteen-year-old right now can find it interesting. Child grew up in Wiltshire as the middle child of three sisters and the daughter of two teachers. She has always been interested in the many aspects of childhood, from gazing into toy shop windows to watching American children's shows from the 1960s. After attending two Art Schools, she travelled for six months, still unsure about which career to embark upon.

Before writing and illustrating children's books Child started her own company 'Chandeliers for the People' making lampshades. It was only when she came to write and illustrate the book Clarice Bean, That's Me that she decided to devote her time to writing and illustrating books for children, which combines her fascination for childhood and her talent for designing and creating. Child gets her inspiration from other people's conversations or from seeing something funny happen. Ahora bien pensé en buscar la obra original, muy difícil conseguir en físico, y en kindle mi economía no es apta para comprar los 5 libros restantes, lo cual es molesto. I decided to read this book because I own and have read every other book in the series and I got this book as a present. I love how the title from the book is also explained and you can clearly see the correlation, with my book's edition it was even better since there is also an apple included on the cover!
